The school is opening its doors to the people who used to live here.
The wars took more than people. They took the years afterward, when nobody wanted to bring a child into any of it. Two generations on, the school still has not filled back up. There are corridors nobody has walked in a decade and classrooms with the chairs stacked against the wall.
So Hogwarts did something it has never done in a thousand years. It wrote to its alumni.
Not only to the ones who finished and went on to things. To everyone. The ones who left at fifteen because there was work at home. The ones whose seventh year was the year the castle fell. The ones who finished perfectly well and have thought about this place every single week since.
The children are still here. You will pass them on the stairs. You are not one of them any more, and the castle will find quiet ways to remind you of it.
Classes run in the evening, because you have a job. You come in through Hogsmeade, because you cannot Apparate onto the grounds and you never could. You do not get your common room back.
About ten minutes. Your choices are remembered as you go.
Not sure the Hat would still say the same thing? Put it on again.
This site has been a domain and an idea for a very long time. What it turns into next depends mostly on who turns up.
Pick whichever you would actually use. Not the one that sounds most impressive.
If you want to hear when it opens, send a line. No list, no schedule, just one message when there is something to see.
